{"id":4219,"date":"2024-05-23T07:58:35","date_gmt":"2024-05-23T07:58:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/homekitchennotes.com\/flavorfinesse\/2024\/05\/23\/healthy-angel-food-cake\/"},"modified":"2024-05-23T07:58:35","modified_gmt":"2024-05-23T07:58:35","slug":"healthy-angel-food-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/homekitchennotes.com\/ja\/healthy-angel-food-cake\/","title":{"rendered":"Healthy Angel Food Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>One bite of this Healthy Angel Food Cake and you&#8217;ll be convinced you&#8217;re eating a light, fluffy, and sweet, dessert-like cloud. \u00a0It&#8217;s perfectly sweet, perfectly moist, and perfectly flavored with vanilla beans. \u00a0You&#8217;d never ever guess that this recipe is totally guilt free, sugar free, fat free, low carb, gluten free, and dairy free too!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span>80g<\/span> <span>(\u00bd cup, packed)<\/span> <span>Arrowroot Starch<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>64g<\/span> <span>(\u00bd cup)<\/span> <span>Sweet White Sorghum Flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>\u00bc<\/span> <span>tsp<\/span> <span>Salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>355g<\/span> <span>(1\u00bd cups)<\/span> <span>Egg Whites<\/span> <span>(fresh, not cartoned)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>1\u00bd<\/span> <span>tsp<\/span> <span>Cream of Tartar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>144g<\/span> <span>(\u00be cup)<\/span> <span>Homemade Vanilla Sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>1<\/span> <span>tsp<\/span> <span>Vanilla Extract<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>\u00bd<\/span> <span>tsp<\/span> <span>Liquid Stevia Extract<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>\u00bc<\/span> <span>tsp<\/span> <span>Almond Extract<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Instructions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>In a small bowl, add the starch, sorghum flour, and salt.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>In a stand mixer bowl with whisk attachment, add the egg whites and cream of tartar.\u00a0 Whisk on high speed for 5 minutes &#8212; it will increase in volume and look like fluffy clouds.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><span>Reduce speed to low and slowly add in the vanilla sugar.\u00a0 Once that&#8217;s added, add the vanilla extract, stevia extract, and almond extract.\u00a0 Beat for a total of 3 minutes.\u00a0 Mixture should be stiff and slightly shiny.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Take bowl off the mixer and sift in the dry ingredients. Fold together, being careful not to deflate the egg whites.\u00a0 Deflating some of it is inevitable, but just try to be as gentle as you can and fold as little as possible&#8230;\u00a0 you don&#8217;t want to overmix this.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Scoop the mixture into an UNGREASED angel food cake pan (I used a 9&#8243; nonstick angel food cake pan) and spread out the surface.\u00a0 Bake for ~40 minutes, or until surface is rounded, golden brown, and springs back when tapped.
